I have a customer who wants to install 6900, but he has some old (62,5µ) fiber buried to remote locatations.
He is using LC 100Mbit SFPs now, but we want to use Gigabit, where possible.
Using 6850 we could go for SFP-GIG-EXTND, using a 6900 i could go for new fiber, which is no option at the moment.
So any insights whether it could work with a SFP-GIG-EXTND in a 6900?

As the 10k is not listet, but same hardware plattform i guess it is supported there as well?

Yes, the OS10K supports that transceiver as well ... (it is part of the table that I posted, second column from the right).
