any have the latest firmware my phone no tftp respond
Re: Firmware for IP phone
You have no problem with firmware. You have problem with IP configuration (wrong DHCP management or wrong static IP configuration - IP addres/mask/GW/TFTP address
Re: Firmware for IP phone
Hi,
I have an issue of "bad ip address" with some 4028.
I mean some have the issue and some have not.
Communication with the DHCP seems to be the issue. I can make a faulty phone working with a static IP address.
After a 138i reset + a flash then a soft reset by telnet, it is the same :
When I compare the i# configuration of an OK phone and a faulty one, every settings are the same instead of:
- The Noe versions : 4.34.21 for the faulty and 4.39.10 for the good
- The presence of an IP Secure menu on the OK phone.
I searched the forum and just runned the NoePhone> level all verbose command but I don't understand what I'm reading (many "Receveid lldp frame : remote no change" messages).
In fact, I am asking how I can update the phone firmware by telnet. I think it is NOT the source of my issue but I want to try this.

Describe your network environment:
- VLANs
- Networks
- Who does the DHCP, is there a DHCP helper

Re: Firmware for IP phone
The site is a distant ACT (n# 24).
The PBX is in the 10.141.251.x network and the ACT in the 10.141.68.x (255.255.255.0)
There is a Voice VLAN onsite (on the ACT 24 side) which is not declared in the PBX.
I want to try to declare that VLAN is this ACT's IP Domain but I'm afraid of putting the whole ACT's phones out of service.
I don't know what is a DHCP helper... The Voice DHCP is the PBX (Alcatel only).
It's confirmed : meanwhile I read the /var/log/dhcplog and there's no trace of my phones mac addresses.

Re: Firmware for IP phone
If IP sets and PBX in different subnetworks - DHCP request will not reach the PBX. You need to manage DHCP helper.
Device in IP sets subnetwork which will redirect the DHCP request to PBX subnet.

What VAD said. You need to contact your network admin and setup DHCP Helper on your data switch, and send it to your MAIN IP address(es)

Re: Firmware for IP phone
Hi, maybe I think that I have the same problem that everyone.
I have more than 400 phones, but the thing is, Alcatel was expensive so we want to create a Freepbx and use it with sip. But we can´t find the lastest firmware to use them in sip mode. It is that complicated?
My phones:
4028 extended edition
4018 extended edition
8088 v2
4068 extended edition V1.2
Thanks to all
