hi, I think it's the same way you do in R8/R9

Use a FTP software like FTP commander, a transfer all the OPS file to the /usr4/BACKUP/OPS
Once you have the files on your CPU, use swinst to load it.

I hope a could help you.

hi, I think it's the same way you do in R8/R9
Sorry, no OPS directory in /usr4/BACKUP in this release.
If you don't have floppy, and if you don't have modification on hardware, only locks in software.mao, you can transfer the OPS files in /usr2/mtcl by FTP.
Before, I think wxhat you have a copy of your database, if you need restore in cas of problems.
After copy the OfferId.sw in /usr3/mao/software.new and run spadmin.
Select install a new file in menu and follow the instruction.
After, check that software.mao and OfferId.sw are the same file and the same what your new OPS file.

If you have modification in hardware, you can copy the new hardware.mao and OfferId.hw in /usr3/mao and manually add or delete ACT or boards in your database according with your new configuration.

Use checkdb to verify coherency and spadmin to check the Panic flag.
Shutdown is a good precaution to check if no problem in database.

It's the old method to manually install OPS. It's for ACSE not for beginner.

From R3 - can be used save&restore database from cpu disk.
From R3.2 - OPS can be loaded from cpu disk (/usr4/BACKUP/OPS).
