Programmable Keys Not Working on Advanced 4200 Handset

Hey People,

I am an extreme newbie, sorry, and having tried to turn my Alcatel Advanced Reflexes 4200 handset onto divert for the first time have encountered a problem.

Seems simple but the programmable keys icons don't light up and so I see no way that I can even press the divert button to start the process of 'divert button' > 'destination number' > 'OK button'

In addition to this apparently I have to divert on all 5 of the direct line handsets I have coming from the main advanced one.

Sorry if I've posted this in completely the wrong place but I'm trapped in my office until I can get this working and I have no idea what to do.
