T1 + VoIP

Hi there..

Is there a way to :

Have 2 T1 connected between 2 nodes.
Have ALSO IP link (trunk?) between the 2 nodes.

If the T1 are satturated, OR OUT OF ORDER, then the calls goes through the IP ?

I would REALLY appreciate if someone could tell me how to have this work, it's a pain in my butt !

should be no probs using ARS, IP 1st choice, T1 2nd choice

Ok, but then if you use ARS, this means that you are using a prefix ?

I am not sure they want to use a prefixe to call from one building to another building.

Also, I use already ABC-F signaling on the T1, since I do this, the system won't let me create a hybrid link on the IP as long as the T1s are on the system...

See my trouble?

yes, I see your problem. It should be ok to create a hybrid link, are your links all configured as trunk groups, or internode links

2 T1 as one ABC-F with 46 channels, and this stupid IP that I don't know what to do.

I don't understand; why do you say that we must use prefix to use ARS; you can create 2 routes....I have the same configuration : 1 link VoIP and a hybrid link as backup and I use the same table ARS...

Well...

Let's say that you have 4 digit extension on both side..
Do you have to dial a prefix before calling one side now ?

I always though that ARS was used with a prefix ??

My users have 4 digits on the both nodes.

To do a lin VoIP, you must create a trunk IP, a internode link and a "debordement VPN".

I explain you it tomorrow if you want....

I'm at my job and for MSN, it's dead

I can explain that :

On the both sites :

- Create an internode link with a hybrid (@ of distant CPU and remote network=X)
- Create a trunk (with the place of your INT IP)
- Create a VPN Overflow ( n° network 1 and 2 =X)
- Create prefix "local VPN Overflow" with your DPN
- Create prefix "distant VPN Overflow" with the the table ARS Y.
- Create a table ARS with 2 routes : the first for your VoIPlink ( just put the number of you trunk); the second for your backup...
- Valide your VPN Service in installation
