4200d

A customer asked me how they would get call metering output from a 4200d.

I know a 4200e output is from the CM board, but how is the 4200D's output provided ?

Is it via a v24 adaptor ?

cheers

You are correct, a V24 adaptor is the way to go and may be used on any 4200
You will find the setup in this post viewtopic.php?f=24&t=1589
This is for OXO, but is very similar to 4200.

For testing just connect the serial port on tyour laptop to the V24 . In Hyperterminal you should see the tickets arrive.

On the top of 4200D box (without plastic cover) you can find two DB9 sockets: one for programming (administration) purpose and other - for metering.

et I thought the second db9 was 4 voice mail. Will check but believe that this was its only function.
When I was a boy of fourteen, my father was so ignorant I could hardly stand to have the old man around.
But when I got to be twenty-one, I was astonished at how much the old man had learned in seven years.
