Omni PBX Office : 4610 II problem Message Length

Post by rdclan »

Hello,

anybody has expirience with 4610 II Voice Mail System in Alcatel Office System ?

Callers can leave a Message for one Minute, after one Minute he hears the End-Announcement.

We want Callers can leave a Message for a length of 5-10 Minutes.

Is there an Option in 4610 II where i can change it ?

I never worked with a 4610 , but I am pretty sure it is like every other email system for Alcatel: Per user, you have a class of service. In each class of service, you can tell what's the max. lengh for a greeting, recorded message, etc ...

Please check on the maximum duration of a message this can be found on your PM5 software under
Voice processing>mailboxes>miscellaneous tab

Hello, Thanks for your Reply.

I dont know PM5 Software, i work with PC-MMC r.422_22.1 and there i cant Find anything about Voice Mail....

Is PM5 a new PC-MMC Software or is it a Tool for the 4610 II ?

The SW-Release of the Office is R3.2 Buissness

@Frank: The Alcatel Office that i know (older Releases) have no classes of Service, the Programming is very different from that of the 4400, 4400 i know well.

We have 14 OmniPBX 4400 running, and only one 4200 (office), and the office i know not so good.

to change the Message lengh of the 4610-II you need to have the IVPS-MMC installed, and then connected direct to the 4610-II,. You can use the cable you use to configurate the Office PBX

There is a Menu Item
Configuration->Global
where you can change the maximum Message lengh.

But attention, otherwise then in the Office you can work only Offline. That means, you have to down load the Database make changes and upload it again
