Maximum extension allowed for eZ32

Post by enjoyjonnel »

Hi,

Just want to ask an opinion from you guys, is it possible to use 7 analog phones in one directory number? My situation here, it only allows 3 to 4 extension. Is there any work around on this?

Thanks,

Jonnel

That correct, I was planning on that kind of work around, the problem is, its a room number (Hotel setup). I need to check in that directory number.

Do you want to setup 7 extensions per room? Do your PABX integrated with any PMS ( Hotel Link)?
If so,
Using hunting groups cannot do all what you want on room setup. We had a situation for 5 extensions per 400 suites in a 7 star hotal and the PMS was Tiger pro.
If you looking for a setup something like that I can help you.

Yes, the client wants the user 7 extension (analog) in a room. But if I try to call that dir. number it doesnt give ne a normal ringing.

There are three ways of operation
1. Room management - hotel management performed on room based
This not more flexible.
2. Guest management ( More flexible and hotel management based on guset number)
3. Static Multi Occupancy - Hotel management works with either room or guest numbers

Before you decide you consult your PMS provider what they can do.
If you go with 1st option,
Ex- 1
Room Number 1121
Ext Number 11210- 11219 ( You can go upto 10 Ext)
Room Number 1122
Ext Number 11220-11229
The check in should done to Room Number 1121. In PMS window its possible to add Required Ext numbers to be chech in. Please check with ur PMS max number of extension can add. Fidellio or Tiger Pro can do it.
( You should notify guest about his extension number because its differ from room number)

If u go with 2nd option
You may check in several guest Extensions to Rooms. So you may need to check in individual guests in to a room. So biiling will take place individual guests. A smae phone can be used by several guets and billing will take place individually.
and,
U can create a suite with more than two sets for a single guest. Still its something like first option. But when calls come to guest or main set number all suite sets are rung. If it is to secondary ext then secondary only.

You should take care of what attendant is going to do. If there are no DID attendent is going to transfer the call. So probably she will remember a single set in a room, but not the all set.

If you have Voice mail( 4635 or third party) you shoulkd be more carefull cox with 7 extensions he may not need all the voice mail boxes to be activated for a single guest. There will be a particular extension he may need the voice mail.
I am not sure what configuartion you have and what kind of PMS. Just read the documentation as not possible to explain all and every option.
