DHCP Option 150 Configuration for Redundant TFTP Servers on OXE R100.1

Hello Alcatel Community,

I am currently working with Alcatel-Lucent OXE R100.1 in a spatial redundancy setup with two OXE servers. My environment includes a mix of NOE IP Touch phones (8068, ALE 300, ALE 20), and the networking layer is handled by Cisco routers and switches.

I am trying to configure DHCP on the Cisco router to provide IP addresses and TFTP server information to the phones. My goal is for the phones to load firmware and register correctly with either of the redundant OXE servers.

Here is my current DHCP configuration:

ip dhcp pool VOICE_PHONES
network 192.168.20.0 255.255.255.0
default-router 192.168.20.1
dns-server 8.8.8.8 8.8.4.4
option 150 ip 172.17.17.5 172.18.18.5


Where:
• 172.17.17.5 = TFTP1
• 172.18.18.5 = TFTP2

Issue:
When the phones boot, they display “Bad TFTP address” and fail to register with the OXE servers.

What I have tried:
• Verified network connectivity between phones and TFTP servers.
• Checked that both TFTP servers are up and accessible from the network.
• Configured DHCP Option 150 with multiple TFTP IPs (as shown above).

Questions:
1. Is there a specific syntax or format required by Alcatel IP phones for multiple TFTP servers?
2. Do NOE IP phones support multiple TFTP servers via Option 150, or is a different DHCP option or provisioning method needed?
3. Could the spatial redundancy setup (TFTP1/TFTP2) require additional configuration on the OXE side?
4. Any recommended best practices for DHCP and TFTP configuration in a redundant OXE environment?

Any guidance, sample configurations, or insights would be greatly appreciated.
