Write memory issue

Post by mikemolyneux »

HI

I've got a switch that rebooted yesterday and it's lost some of it's config, just for SNMP monitoring.
So I've added it back in and I can contact by SNMP again, however I tried to save the config and got 'you will not be able to save config changes for this switch because it is running the certified software version'.

First time with Alcatel switches in any depth, so I compared the config of the boot.cfg file in flash/certified & flash/working and I can see SNMP bits missing from the certified one.

So I tried the below command, but that didn't work.

SW2-DEPOT-1# copy working certified flash-synchro
ERROR: Request failed: No Secondary CMM running

I then entered this, but really unsure on how to fix this without breaking something else! I just want the working config to be applied at startup, should the switch reboot again.

Any help would be greatly apprecaited.

Thanks
