Hi,
i have a 6900-x72 which shows nothing in the putty-terminal after "erase all" in uboot.
I found a comment to change the serial parameters, but the terminal was still black.
Is there a chance to get a connection to the switch or is it e-waste ?
uboot erase all
Re: uboot erase all
I had never done "erase all" in uboot. Maybe this isn't a good idea...
I understand that there is no output at the serial - also not during a reboot / power-on?
Are you sure your serial is working: tested at another X72? Worked before the erase-all-command?
Normaly I would recommend to do rescue - but you need a serial connection for it (for "run rescue").

Re: uboot erase all
The serial was working before with the same switch. In another post was the same Problem with a 68xx switch. I think we send it to al.
And it is realy no good idea to do an erase all in uboot.
Thanks,

Re: uboot erase all
you can try rescue, if you have the rescue.img for X72.

Re: uboot erase all
For rescue you had to start in uboot and do "run rescue" to boot the Trescue.img.
No Trescue.img
So i think no chance for me.

Re: uboot erase all
you can get the rescue file via service request at ALE....
