CPU3 SW 6.0 - will not start after reboot - Lola fails

After a remote reboot the CPU will not start, but CPU LED and LAN flashes normally, but telephonesets is dead, and no contact with the system with OMC.



I've tried Lola but I get an error message in Lola : missing file/boot/config.rc and another message :
20.28.53 192.168.92.246 Board error. [MSG_ERR_END]
20.29.43 192.168.92.246 Disconnected.


Could there be a fault on the CPU board?

Thanks for tips, I think it was my PC /XP and Trend (not active) rights to folder's ar OK.
I installed Lola on a W2000 PC and after a couple of tries for getting the right timing for switching the CPU on I could upload to the CPU. But it took forever to boot the CPU3m after this I went to sleep and it was the next morning. Next reboot looked ok but the CPU failed later so I installed a CPU2 on rel 4.1 in the meantime.

Maybe a HDD down? Do you have HDD on that CPU?

This message usually means that there is an issue with the samba share on the PC make sure that the directory that you have the oxo sw in is has full access rights to all users.

I would say that the hdd is ok other wise you wouldn't even be getting this far.

No HDD - 128M RAM

But when doing lola take all cards out, and turn you wirless off also.

You have to full share de system folder with sw release for oxo! that`s the problem.

The defect has been identified. It is characterized by a system stop without restarting.
It concerns CPU-3m equipped with flash memories from STMicroelectronics with date code 720.
The defect is random, and concerns only a low part from these CPUs.

In order to let you informed, to inform Alcatel-Lucent Sales and to be able to answer to your Business Partners,
a Technical Communication (ref : N°117 date : 05/12/2007), describing the problem and giving a palliative solution,
is now available in English and French on the SMB Portal and the BPWS (KM database).

The corrective and preventive solution is the replacement of the CPU-3m with date code 720.
The Hardware Support services (DOA, advance, replace and repair) are « free of charge » for the boards concerned (with date code 720).
