Omnisswitch 6850E/24 not booting

I'm having some trouble with a 6850E from a customer not booting.

when i try to power on the switch this is all the information displayed from serial console

it only display up to the DRAM: 512 MB info

i checked some of the other posts here and it seems that there is more information displayed even when the switch does not boot right but on this case it only displays that, I think that maybe if the flash information cannot be displayed and the boot process does not go after that info, the flash is dead, but I'm not expert on alcatel switches, so I ask if anyone knows if there is anything that can be done with the switch or if it is dead.

after displaying that info, switch becomes unresponsive, no more info is displayed and no response to anything on serial console.

Maybe the flash is broken after 10 years working - or something similar (I see that the miniboot is not loaded from the flash). So I think its time for a new switch.

Thanks for the reply, the customer has new Switches but this happened before the change.

So, if the flash Is dead, there Is no chance to change it and back to work?

Flash is not a card on this switch?

Sorry, not much into Alcatel Switches, want to know just because i'm curious.

not sure about 6850E ... open the switch and you will find it out. In older switches (than 6850E) I have seen CF-cards inside. But anyway it will be difficult to find replacement for the card.
