OmniPCX Enterprise - Troubleshooting
I am new to Alcatel and have a OmniPCX Enterprise chassis with 2 modules "CS" and "GD". I have been able to remap ip addresses on both modules but GD gives me some errors on serial console.
first is a problem with TFTP
WARNING : tftp server address problem
second is error downloading
Downloading /DHS3bin/downbin/mg3/binmg3 from 10.80.212.88
/etc/rc.d/init.d/binipmg_download: download_binary binmg3 failed
/etc/rc.d/init.d/binipmg_download: too many retries, giving up
binmg3 download failed after 3 retries
third is this
*****************************************************************
* Connect to callserver failed + no login within 1 mn => reboot *
*****************************************************************
I am also having trouble getting Web UI connection to CS. Do I need to setup the shelf or something? I also could not find the correct installation admin manual. Any help appreciated.

Re: OmniPCX Enterprise - Troubleshooting
you need to set the cpu ip address as tftp address on the gd.
What release is runnning on the cs?

Re: OmniPCX Enterprise - Troubleshooting
On the GD I have set #4 to my CS ip yet I still get a tftp error. Both modules cs and gd can ping each other. I am not sure why the tftp error is happening.

Re: OmniPCX Enterprise - Troubleshooting
Hi,
The phone application is not running. That's why the IPMG doesn't work.
Enter the command : RUNTEL on the CS prompt and wait for 10 minutes.
Everything should work fine.

Re: OmniPCX Enterprise - Troubleshooting
I turned off autostart from swinst command menu and rebooted CS. I ensured autostart is not set and then run RUNTEL from command line but I still can not reach the WebUI of CS after 15 minutes. I keep getting these crash dumps on CS too after a watchdog restart.

1 Set autostart
2 Unset autostart

Also, when I run netstat -an on the CS it reports a foreign ip address (10.30.11.2) that must be part of old configuration. Any ides where in settings this is configured?
