Hi all,

does anybody have experience with install OTMC to virtual server ?? ?
we tried it with last bootdvd-12.1.009.000-x86_64 and bootdvd-12.1.010.000-x86_64 ...

• Virtualmachinename:OTMC-V
• Operatingsystem: SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12 (64 bits)
• Hyper-threadingmustbedeactivated: set theoptionHyperthreadedCoreSharing to None
• VMwareESXimustbe 6.0 , theVirtualMachineVersion 11( tried 10 too)
• CPU: 2 VCPUs
• RAM: 8 GB
• Network adapter: VMXNET 3
• SCSI controller: LSI Logic SAS
• Create a newvirtual disk – 105 GB (ThickProvision Lazy Zeroed) – SCSI (0:0)

then • SelectOpenTouchMessaging Center forVirtualizedInfrastructure (15000 users).

install was started, but in a part ´create partition plan ´ instalallation stopped by fault message:
device "" not found by storage backend

Hi munzik,

We had the same problem, it was about disk space. I had to put double size disk space, because I selected smooth updates in previous installation steps. I recomend you that use OTCP tool in order to size your system, then you should create your virtual machine with double space disk that OTCP said before.

Cavargnago : We tried to change SCSI controller, but the instalation was stoppet at the same time and message fault
