Hi! - I moved the server over the week end to handle the daily incoming connections (about 200K/day) but it looks like I aimed too low for the resources. I'm going to have to move this server (hopefully for the last time) this week. I'm sorry for the interruption.

How to upgrade OXE R6.2 (CPU6) to R11.2(CPU7-2)

Post by rizwanqureshi »

Hi,
I need procedure for OXE software Release up-gradation from R6.2 to R11.2. The existing hardware is CPU6 and this CPU6 has to be replaced with CPU7-2 during the up-gradation. A new GPA2 board will also be added in OXE as per OPS file received to me.

Read TC (f.e. TC2122)
Do you have - system SW (R11.2), access to BPWS, some experience with OXE SW installation?

Read f.e. TC 2122 (or another TC about R11.2 installation).
But in any case main step:
1 - Rebuilding the database before saving - cdmao, fichges force_recover_dico (p. 9.4 from TC2122)
2 - Save database
3 - Install R11.2 to CPU7, manage IP addresses (netadmin)
4 - Restore database from R6.2
5 - Install new OPS (for R11.2).
6 - Check installation, make correction if needed (f.e. if VG was on CPU6 - manage VG on GPA2).
