OXO Subscriber Numbering

Post by dcwilliams »

I have an OXO with Premium 8038 and 8068 sets. The phones register to the system fine but I want to renumber some of the phones as the existing numbers are not all consecutive.
1. How can I ensure that a specific number goes on a certain style of phone?
2. If I renumber a subscriber it creates a new Physical Address but the old address is still there and the system complains that the old address does not have a number assigned?
3. How can I clean this up?
4. How can you also program the 8000 series set directly like you could do on the 4000 series sets?

1. What do you mean by "style of phone"? What exacly would like to achieve? Explain it with an example.
2. You can not renumber a extension, you can create a new one and copy the configuration. From the old subscriber you must clean the mac address associated in the IP parameters.
3. Answered above.
4. What do you mean by "programming directly"??

If you want to renumber an extension, use OMC and go into the Subscribers section. In the list of numbers, highlight the one you want to change and then click on the number field at the top of the window with the list in it - you can select a new number from the available numbers. Once you have the correct number hit the MODIFY button to the right to save the change.
