Cannot forward a forward?

Hello this is my first post so I hope I do this right.

I am looking after an OXe and have move four business into one large facility and ported three of the businesses from a multi line/ISDN to the OXe SIPS trunks most users are fine but a few have a main advertised phone no: for their particular division or business.

example +61 2 XXXX 1944 then they have an individual number +61 2 XXXX 3561 the main number is pointing to a hunt group which lists extension 3561 the user wishes to forward to voice mail or mobile phone the call just rings out on the desk phone (3561) and does not forward to Vmail or cellphone.
If I call from and internal extension it goes through to Vmail or Cellphone, I assume it is because you cannot forward a forward.

Can anyone offer advise on how to set this up so users forwarding will work?

1944 = (UA virtual) ->> forwarding to 3561=(8068) the user then wants to ->> forward to Vmail or Cellphone

Recoil it will most likely be a FAC Cat issue or a Trunk Cat issue, when you are forwarding 3561 are you forwarding that set or 1944 ??? i suspect 3561, you will need to prog a key to set substitute to 1944 and then fwd that number

On ext: 3561 I create a key

#02 = substitute, 1944 is the extension, *01 is the forward code, 0 to get a line out, 0407201234 is the mobile no:

If so when i press the 1944 FWD button it says wrong password asks for the password password again I key it and it does not appear to work.

missed one bit #0219440000*0100407201234

just missed the 0000 which is the standard password for users unless it has been changed

I added the 0000 password as above and now I am getting feature rejected & without wrong password.
my PNC=6
my External Forwarding COS = 6
my phone feature COS = 1

I cannot think of what else would effect this giving feature rejected.

I also tried slipping a #3 in after the 1944 #3 = password_modification but I have no idea what #3 does and it did not work.
Is there any doco on Alcatel dialing prefixes?

make external fwd cos 255 and try it

OK I set the External COS to: 255
Content: #0219440000*0100407209265 saved it.
I press the button on the phone and get: feature rejected.

OK I played around with the MLA Primary / SMLA but I cannot get calls to go through from the deskset to his mobile I had to roll back to the forward from 1944 until i get some time to spend on the issue.

Not understand exactly what is your problem but what happen if you dial number (not press just programmed key) - when you have reject
1 - dial substitution prefix and set number - if at this point - set protected against substitution
2 - dial password - if at this point - wrong password
3 - forward prefix - if at this point - substituted set have no right for forward
4 - outgoing prefix - if at this point - substituted set have no right for external forward
5 - external number - if at this point - substituted set have no right (PNC) for external number (PNC if external forwarding COS=255, or external forwarding COS).
