HI Alcatel Unleashed, this is my first post here, I hope someone can help me.
I'm a new admin and have no real experience with OmniVista 4760 and got assigned the following task after the admin, who configured it all in the first place, left.
First the setup right now:
We have 3 Numbers, 0, 376 and 352.
The 0 is an "entity" with forwarding on routing enabled and has it's 1st Night Routing, 1st Day Routing, 1st MODE 1 Routing and 1st MODE 2 Routing all set up to 376.
The Number 376 and 352 are "users".
now my task:
I have to setup call routing between these 3 Numbers, so if anyone calls the 0 from external or internal it should get routed to 376, but if 376 is busy the call should be routed automatically to the number 352.
When somebody calls 352 and it is busy it should be routed to 376.
When somebody calls 376 and it is busy it should be routed to 352.
Could someone explain to me in detail, how and where to set this up? As I said, I have no prior experience with OmniVista besides creating new Users and I couldn't find any helpful support documents for this topic so any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance.
Markus

Re: Noob Question - Forwarding on Busy
Put 352 as 2nd option in day, night, mode 1 and 2, that will do for entity on entities menu
As for the others, put 352 as associated from 376 and viceversa on users menu
Download documentation from here and give it a look

Hi cavagnaro,
thanks for your quick reply! I will test it out. Do you have a link to the documentation?

Re: Noob Question - Forwarding on Busy
Hi cavanagro,
I've just tried your suggestion, but sadly this wasn't the solution.
I've set "Associated Set No." of 376 to 352 and "Associated Set No." of 352 to 376. This didn't change anything, I was still getting "user is busy" when calling either one while he is talking. Then I continued looking and found the setting "Overfl. busy to assoc. set" in "dynamic state user" which looks like what I needed. I activated that for 376 and got redirected to 352 while 376 was busy, so far so good. Now I tried to activate the setting for 352 and I got the following error message:
Set or Change \Prodefacto\Users::352\Dynamic State User::1
Instance (reserved) : Loop in the forwarding numbers
Any ideas how to solve this? I've tried to look for that exact error message but couldn't find anything useful and I can't get the documentation from BPWS as I don't have an account and was unable to register a new one.
Thank you in advance and with friendly regards from Germany,
Markus
