ARS

Post by hendersonla »

All,

I know this is probably pretty simple for most of you but I actually program user stuff mostly and leave the routing to the other techs. I have two PRIs at this site and the customer would like one for all incoming calls to the call center and the other reserved for outgoing. I have an idea how it is done becuase I've set up ARS lists before but it has been along time ago and I am of course pressed for time. Please help I need to get this done quickly and tested prior to the cut on Friday and I am a one man band here. Design, program, train, you name it I'm it!

thanks

Hi there ,

I think this is what you would have to do :

Create your 2 T1s access.
You create one route in your ARS, and define one of the T1 , then you map the prefixe 9 (outgoing) to this discriminator so it takes this T1

For the other T1, you just create a default translator, and they should be able to receive phone calls on this one....

Is this what you are looking for ?

Frank is right, just setup the PRI in differnet trunk group and in the ARS route list only use the trunk group that's allow ot plcae an outgoing calls. You may want to create an additional ARD rout for 911 for utilize both trunk group just incase :D
