ip touch configuration for remote CS

Post by arminas »

Hi

i have a network with central office and remote office.our main CS is in central office and our passive CS is in remote office.if there is a problem with central and remote office network ,remote network will work over passive CS for redundancy or backup.

we have i a DHCP server on remote office and this DHCP server distribute ip's to ip touches on remote office.but DHCP server is giving ip ,mask, router and only one tftp server address (i mean tftp1 ). how can i get tftp2 adress like the ip of remote office'CS ?

if we write static on ip touch we can configure tftp1 and tftp2 address but we have a lot of ip touch and we want to give ip them dinamicly.

thanks for help

What kind of DHCP server do you have?

We use Cisco routers as DHCP servers and on that routers we just configure two ip-helper adresses to which broadcasts will be forwarded. We dont use that for telephone issues, but that should work for the problem you described.

thanks for reply,

we configure windows 2003 dhcp server to give tftp1 ,ip mask and gateway to clients.and i think we solve our problem becouse when tft1 connection go down , tftb adres (local passive cs) is up and ip touch connect to local cs.

thanks you.
