Configure 4028 IP phone

Post by gilkess »

I have a 4028IP phone I would like to connect to a OmniPCX Office. I have got as far as configure the phone and it going to the TFTP server to pick up the lanpbx.cfg file. I dont know how to generate this file but found a posting that gave some example content and have tweaked to fit my system. The phone now boots and gets this config file but the phone now says getting load, file not found, getting code, file not found and getting data, file not found.

Can you please help. If I need to generate a lanpbx.cfg file can you please tell me exactly how to do this.

Thank you.

Are you sure you have to connect the IPTouch 4028 to an OmniPCX OFFICE?
In an OmniPCX ENTERPRISE you can create a new lanpbx.cfg file using the command 'lanpbxbuild'
Using the menu you can now create the correct file.

Another option is the use of the -auto option. In this way the file will be automatically created with the correct settings => lanpbxbuild -auto

In Omni PCX Office you don't need to create any file.
