connection through fibre optic

Post by Geronimo4 »

Hello,

there are two buildings next to each other. The new building has an OXO rel 710/022.001 and the old building has a PBX not an Alcatel quite old..15-20 years old.

the two buildings are connecting through fibre optic. The customer wants to cancel the old PBX and use OXO for the users to the old building as well.

One way is to use IP users for the old building but its not an option.

Is there a way to transfer the copper network through the fibre optic to the new building so i can use the OXO for the old building as well? there will be digital users, dect users and base stations to the old building

thanks in advance

Hi

Of course that no. You must have another OXO another side or migrate you OXO to OXE with a media gateway. So, you will have SIP communication over the fiber and each build with copper network.

So if i migrate OXO to OXE i will need to each floor of the old building remote small cabins to communicate with the OXE right?

each floor has copper network that ends up in small racks and the vertical connection is through fiber 'til the central rack at the basement

Hi

Well, you can install one media gateway in each floor, but I think it well be very expansive, or you can install cupper network among floors.
