Could someone please tell me what system timer is used to increase the time it takes for a callback to be activated when a user puts an external caller on hold? I have tried many system timers and none of them seem to be working. Also, do timer changes require a reboot?
I have system docs with timer descriptions but I’m still having trouble. Is it possible to disable this feature completely?
Thanks in advance
Callback after 120 seconds on hold

What type of hold - common, manual, park or during transfer.
For common hold and park - check timer 8.

Sorry I should have mentioned the hold type in the post. I'm referring to Common Hold and I have tried timer 8 multiple times without success. Does the system need a reboot after the timer change?

Try system doc---->timers another time Adam.

MLA mm... In russian language we have expression - rightly asked question is a half of answer.
In system documentation/ Technical documentation/ User services - exist features description.
In configuration procedure for each feature (if this feature use some timers) - exist timers description.

Re: Callback after 120 seconds on hold
Hi, I have changed a system the week before, and the customer need to change the way that the OXE R8 manage the manual hold.
The customer used to press the "hold" key without hang up, but when he hangs up the call immediately calls back (the only way to maintain the call on hold is leaving the headset out of the hook). He need that the call stays on hold (in the key) for 3 minutes.
I have tried all the timers that you mentioned before and the system doesn’t change his behaviour.
Regards,

Re: Callback after 120 seconds on hold
I have been secretly working on a wiki, slowly, where I upload useful tricks.
Timers are a part of it. Check out http://wiki.alcatelunleashed.com/doku.php/oxe:timers
