Call routing question

Post by selectt »

Afternoon all, i have a question which needs answering.

I have a customer on site A with ISDN and a 5 users rx calls.
They intend to open site B in the future with 5 additional users. To connect the sites i could potentially create a VPN, no problem.
Site B would have to be a new OXO as they want to have local ISDN connection.

Question : The main number coming into site A rings 5 users. Is there a way of making these 5 local users ring and 2 other users at site B at the same time, using the VPN (site to site connection) ?

I know i could have 5 IP users on the back of site A and program accordingly, but the customer wants a local number on site B for disaster recovery.

hope that makes sense ?

Hi
Is there a way of making these 5 local users ring and 2 other users at site B at the same time, using the VPN (site to site connection) ?
No, because they are diffrent systems. But you can configure to ring those 5 local users during a time. After this time it rings in the site B.

You can use remote extension (pointing to system B hunt group) in system A group.

Remote extension rings an external number, in your case a DDI number in PBX B.

My apologies if i have missed something here.

I have programmed the main number to ring a parallel hunt group (55) in the public numbering plan on site A.

I have programed another parallel hung group (30) on site B.

If calls ring 55 how can i program site A to route to site B's hunt group 30 at the same time.

Like i said before dynamic routing of the hunt group will ring 55 then stop ringing (after say 1 sec) and ring 30.

I cant see "remote extension" feature in the number plan ?

thanks

this is the only reference to remote destination in the numbering plan, but no explanation in the technical docs !
