8450 Inbound fax error 709

Hi all,

Recently installed standalone 8450 on a R10.0 system. Works most of the time but I am getting a lot of inbound failures with error code 709. Seems to refer to a time out with signalling to/from the sending fax device. Can't seem to find any relevant posts here at the moment. Alcatel doc and TC have so far come up blank.

Most of the errors seem to be with large multi-page faxes. The sending device usually resends again after a few minutes.

Nothing seems to be showing in the OXE. carrier reports no problems with synch on the incomming ISDN.

Any thoughts welcome

If you have more than one ISDN PRI trunks, try setting the clock source priority to the PRI the faxes use (lower PRIO number is higher priority)

Check with the infocs command, the card with SYNC_CLOCK as SYNCHRO is the one that is used as the system clock source.
