OXE R8.01 installation into an IBM x3250 M3

Post by meynardp »

Hi,

We are trying to install OXE R8.01 into an appliance server (IBM x3250 M3), unfortunately we encountered an error with this detail, "The Ethernet probed failed to find a card on your system. Press <Enter> to manually configure one.". After encountering the problem, we then tried to install a R10 and it was successful. We believe that the issue here is the driver of the Ethernet Card which is not included in the R8.01 installer but is available on the R10. Is our assumption correct? And if it is, would it be possible to update the drivers in the release 8.01 from the rivers in release 10? Or is there other way we could install the R8.01 into the said appliance server?

Thanks.

Best Regards,

Meynard

OOps I dit it again.
Some work needed - but it could be done.
Please note that at no time I will provide you with OXE/4400 nor AOS releases.
Note that it's our private time, that we spent to help you, so please don't expect complete solution for your problem.
You will need to do homework by your self.
