Alcatel 4039 "please hook off"

Post by markinoz »

Hi Alcatel Gurus,

We have Alcatel 4039 handsets connected to a Alcatel Onmi PCX system.

This morning one handset is now displaying a "Please Off Hook" message and will not let the user log in (you can only put in the ext number and then it beeps and goes back to the same message)

I have tested another "working handset" in the port on the Alcatel Onmi PCX system and this gives the same result. The "non working handset" 'works" in another port on the Alcatel Onmi PCX system (user can login correctly, this would indicate a problem with the port on the Alcatel Onmi PCX system?)

I have looked at the Onmi PCX system config for this extension and it appears the same as all the "working" ones.

Does anyone know why this port suddenly doesnt work? (Also have an extension one number up that is now saying "out of service" in Omnivista software)

Very confused.....

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers

Seems that the user is blocked on Software side.
Check the state with:
terminfo d <Directorynumber>
listerm |grep -C5 <Directorynumber>
