4039 automatically answering on speaker?

Hi Guys,
This one has me stumped.

I have one 4039 in darwin (I'm in the perth office)that as soon as he lifts the handpiece it automatically answers on the speaker phone. I originally thought this would be dodgy hardware and got him to swap with someone else but the problem stayed with his set.

I've tried programming up another set here to get it to do the same thing so I can reverse the process but can't get a phone to behave in this manner.

Any help would be much appreciated.

I faced this problem in a random way, but managed to solve it by resetting the extensions on those lines.

Reset shelf, board, equipment of physical extension to 255 all, then capture it again.

maybe you activated interphony option,what about your mute key LED?on or off?

Hi Guys,

Sorry about that, I've been swamped at work and haven't been able to get back to this one.
I've just tried resetting the extension but as they're at a different location (darwin is very far from perth) I'll have to wait and see if this has fixed it.

all fixed.
looks like it was the hardware too, I think when I asked them to swap the hardware.. they didn't.
I found out because after I reset the extension he couldn't hook off at all..
