4019 sound dropout during conversation

Post by bibou »

Hi,
I've issues with internal/external calls with regard to sound drop outs/distortion only for 4019's extensions.
4019 are connected behing MG-UAI16 (shelves with GD3 1xARMADA) and the CallServer is on R9.1 i1.605.16.c.
It seems to be related with the compression/decompression but I don't know where to look at.

Does anyone know/had this problem?
Please help
bibou

Problem have also happened with an IPTOUCH 4028 phone.
How could I check which GD/GA card is causing the problem?
I have external accesses (pra E1 ISDN) on a extended shelf (with MEX board), could this cause any problem?

If you have problem with internal calls - two 4019 from one board - this is not the compression/decompression problem.

ALCATEL's Answer :

This is regarding the SR1-122703131. I was checking this issue and found that this is a known issue for the GD3. Issue is similar to crms00238231 and has been fixed in the patch i1.605.20. And anther reported issue related to the NGP boards in the GD3 crms00187258 has been fixed in the patch i1.605.26. I suggest you to upgrade the site to the latest patch for resolving this issue.

ALCATEL's answer (part 2) :
The crms information are below:
crms00238231 : Voice volume issues on GD3
crms00187258 : NGP : add possibility to reset a DSP channel (voice quality problem or incident voip compression)

There is no TC related to this issue, the issues are fixed in the mentioned patches. I suggest you to do a upgrade of the site to the latest patch. I beleive this will resolve your issue.
