Missing serial number

Hi I'm just curious; I don't see serial number in show chassis output. Is that normal ?

may be a bug in the firmware? Also have a look at "show ni".
To test:

There is entPhysicalSerialNum- the vendor-specific serial number string
for the physical entity. The preferred value is the serial number string
actually printed on the component itself (if present).
