Displayed time on iptouch devices

Post by andi »

Hello

I just wondered how could I change the displayed time on iptouch phones. As far as I know the phones get their time from the call server that are they conencted to. Normaly thats ok but we also have some single phones in China, Taiwan and Dubai and the guys there wanted to have their local time displayed on the phone. I have searched in the menu of the phones and in the configuration of each phonenumber in our OXE but could find any settings for time offset or similar.

So my question, isnt it possible to define an individual timezone for a phone?

Thanks

You cannot do the time-offset thing. More & more people are asking about this these days so I'm sticking this in the 'feature request' forum too.

I forwarded this topic to Alcatel, and asked for a marketing request.
We'll see how it goes..

Any details of a workaround for this issue, we are looking to roll out nationally and Australia has multiple timezones, the incorrect time will be a big pain in the butt.

I've heared this is already planned - maybe for release 9?
It's the same problem for international connected Media Gateways.

I have release 8 in my lab, and this feature is not implemented yet.
Maybe in release 9, scheduled for 2008 ..
