One Number Services

Post by sitig »

Hi All

I have been struggling with One Number Services for the past few days. I have configured all the necessary services but one thing that I'm not too sure about is my RSI number. At the moment I've configured the same number for RSI and the External Application.

I could not activate the One Number Services from the browser. There's an incident in the alarm that states "CRS server could not connect to OTS server".

Grateful for any advise on this.

Cheers

RSI for external application? What is that?
On OTUC/ICS you need to create an independent RSI object with Type = eCC, then OTS will go and search for it so it can monitor it and use OneNumber

Hi Cavagnaro

Thanks a lot for your response.

Sorry, its External Voicemail. Yes, I've created the independent RSI with type=eCC in the OXE but not in OTUC. Where in OTUC will I create this independent RSI with type=eCC?

I've configured a number for One Number services in Media Server configurations, and I've also configured the External Voicemail and the RSI in OXE using the same number in configured for One Number in OTUC. I am not aware of the independent RSI in OTUC, I'll read the docs again and see if I can find where in OTUC will I create this RSI.

No no, you create EVM = 63000 in OXE with OTUC IP Address, then in MS on OTUC you declare a new application OneNumber with number 63000 so OTUC register (sipregister command on OXE) it on OXE and you can use it.
Now RSI, you only need to create it on OXE, then OTUC OTS will synchronize it automatically (or do a ots forced synchro) and you can check if it was already registered using the http://otuc:3695/OTSstatus web page

Hi Cavagnaro.

Where in EVM should I enter the OTUC IP Address? The only parameter in which I can enter an IP@ is the PCS IP.

When you mention a new application in OTUC, are you meaning the configuration for Media Server?

I’ve got it working now. I’ve used different numbers for External Voicemail number for One Number services and the RSI, but I just need to reboot the OXE as well.

I guess I just need to have patience with this product, I used the setup above before, I thought that it will work straight after completing the configuration, but we need to restart services and might need to reboot the call server as well.

Thanks a lot Cavagnaro.
