iptouch series and telnet connection

Post by andi »

Hello everybody

As far as I know all phones of the iptouch series have a telnet interface. I wanted to ask if it is possible to change settings of the iptouch set via this telnet interface. I tried to telnet so some telephone sets but i couldnt find any commands that the phone accepted.

I hope someone of you can give me some tips or has a link to a docu :)

Thanks for your help!

What release are you using ?
I'm using 7.1, and can't telnet into the 4068 anymore.

Hi Frank,

You need to enable telnet window using ippstat option 15. Then you can telnet to IPTouch.

At first you have to authorize telnet on the ip phones with ippstat (timeout for telnet).

Now you can telnet the phone and change settings or view statistics. All is described in the TG0028

Hi

we use release 7.1 and 4028, 4038 and 4068 phones. I already found out that i first have to enable telnet with the ippstat tool, than i can connect to the phone but i dont know any useful commands.

@H-MAN: If you have a doc i would be very glad if you could upload it somewhere.

Thanks,
Andi

The TG0028 is now in the pastebin. The IP Touch commands start on page 62.
