CPU Error

Hi, Alcatel Engineers

I am loading chorus R5.0 UX with CPU-3 software loaded successfully.
after removed Hard Disk from CPU-3 and fixed same Hard Disk in CPU-6, when switch on the CPU-6 it's getting Error like" WARNING!!! CPU type is 6 booted karnel is for CPU-3"
is anyone know how to solve this problem?

Hi afeef,

I think you need to load chorus directly with the CPU6. May be during the installation, a specific version of chorus for the CPU model is loaded.

We steel have R2 running on CPU3 and CPU5, and when we load the software, we need to specify a different chorus version depends on the CPU model.

Yes, i now if i load the chorus direct to cpu6 its working OK, but i just want to know is there other possibility to solve this problem.

Why are you using a Cpu3 and then a Cpu6 ?

Thank you for replying. i have loaded chorus in CPU-3 because that time i don't have CPU-6 in my lab, after i have CPU-6 i am try to run the system with same hard disk which i use in CPU-3.

I'll try tomorow in my lab to load a R5 UX on a Cpu3 ... but i think there's no solution for your problem.

When you load SW on CPU - loaded not only OS and DHS3 but in additional drivers for USED CPU (like for PC - loaded drivers for motherboard).
