Heelp ! Cannot add new user since old one cannot be accessed

Hi Guys ! I am very new in this forum but I already have a problem with my Alcatel. BTW not only one. I have tried to install voice mail on one user/number but something went wrong and now I do not have any access to Configuration menu of this user/number. When I try to call it gives busy tone. When I try to dial from it it says "please dial the number of this extenison" or something. Can anyone help me ? I cannot add new user /or I don't know how so to delete current one and give same number to the new one.

What do you mean you don't have access to the configuration menu of this user ? Are you talking about MGR or voicemail configuration ?

When you try to call... "from" or "to" ?

When you have a set that says "please dial your extension number" this means that this port is not registered. From here you can dial the extension that you created and it will register the set/port

Hi Frank. Thank You for the response. Well I am not the best in Alcatel and I don't know too much. What I tried was that I wanted to assign a Mailbox to particular phone number. I used OV Client program to do that. When I went to directory I tried it from Voicemail menu. After that everything went bad. I couldn't enter Directory - technical - Configuration menu. It was showing error. Finally I went thru Configuration - PCX - Node 1 - Users. And I had to add the user again since I've deleted it from Directory menu and Accounting too. Now it is working but I cannot see it in both menus - Directory and Accounting.

If you check another user that you know has voicemail, under his profile you will have "voicemail number". Just add this number to the new user.

Also, you could go down to applications/voicemail and check the voicemail number.
