Which http host for voicemail - exchange integration 8400

Post by MrAnMo »

I've got a question about the creation of a voicemail.

Image
Which address do I fill in the http host box. Is this the address of the 8400 server or is it the address of the exchange server?

I'm trying to use the exchange without plugins but I'm getting stuck on this part.

Anyone who can help?

If it is a Single machine set-up it must be the Application Server host name.
In the case of muli-server you have to enter the Secondary Application server host name.

Yes I´ve read that as well in the manual. But it is still not clear to me what they actualy mean with the application server host name. It could be anything. It could be a dedicated um server with special software. It could be the 8400 server.

I have a single server setup and I´ve filled in the host name of the 8400. When I try to leave a voicemail to somebody I´m getting the message Sorry there going something wrong please contact the administrator.

Today I have invited a specialist from my company. Hopefully he can fix it.

Well you have to consider the OTUC architecture, not anything, it is obvious for us that it is the OTUC server, which is what Patmul told you.

Thanks. I was getting confused because it just don't work and when things don't works I'm doubting about anything.

There is now a ticket by Alcatel. The specialist looked at it and says everything was fine and created a sr.
