Post by lam »

Hi all,

In fact there is a IP address already entered when I look it in mgr. However, the IP address is neither main cpu ip add or any ip add defined in netadmin. I have tried to change it to different IP addresses but also got no answer.

Well, I did not have a chance to play with the Release 6, but I have a SIP gateway running on a linux box. Maybe this is what the PBX is looking for ? Another SIP Gateway ?

Thx for suggestion posted before.

In fact we have tried to develop internal SIP gateway using 6.0 before and it works. We met the problem when we try to develop it in another site.

First, I am not sure your IP address setting between OXE CS ,GD, SIP gateway and external SIP proxy.
In my case , I have GD , CS , SIP gateway(Same address as CS) and external SIP proxy within same private lan e.g. 192.168.1.x and SIP gateway is defined within OXE mgr->SIP->SIP Gateway and OXE mgr->SIP->External Gateway for your external SIP Proxy

Second, I had problem with SIP Gateway shown as 10.10.10.x address that was totally worng in the previous IP setting, but I can not delete. I end up found the problem within netadmin -->hostname and address.

Try within netadmin -m then lookup option 9. "Host names and addresses". The purpose is to check if there is any leftover IP and hostname setting from previous setting or lab setting in my case. In order to delete extra IP and hostname, you will need to stop the telephone then run the netadmin again.

Thrid, for some reason that I am not sure why that there might need a PRA T2 in the OPS
In my case, another strange place within OPS file need to have| 2 | 7 | PRA T2 |---------- |ONLY OPS FILE |

I have a first test site at client that I can successfully call between OXE extension user and SIP user.

You should find another link within this forum that Frank posted on steps how to creat SIP trunk. Sorry too busy to look up now, onging project. or I can check back later if there is any question that I can help to answer, if any.
Regards,

Kevin
