The USB port is meant for future use. It will be possible to use it for disaster recovery in case e.g. you delete all image files.

Right now the USB port doesn't do anything.

this is command i used:

-> usb enable
-> mount /uflash
-> cp /flash/working/boot.cfg /uflash/boog.cfg
-> umount /uflash

Once the USB flash drive is mounted most common file and directory commands can be performed on the
/uflash directory.

Ensure that the USB Stick has a FAT file system.

I'd like to know what make and model USB stick works with the switch.
I have tried numerous different makes and models all with different formatting (fat16/fat32, and different sizes)

The switch is updated to AOS kernel version: 6.4.4.410.R01 and UBOOT Version : 6.4.3.565.R01,

-> usb enable -- then I stick the memory to the usb-port:
+++ Bulk Device Not Supported!

-> mount /uflash
WED AUG 22 12:17:07 : SYSTEM (75) info message:
+++ Bulk Device Not Supported!
USB /uflash: error during mount, /uflash is unmounted.
ERROR: Call to mount failed.

Only one flash memory (Kingston 100 G2 8GB) has given a sign of hope:
it says the same bulk not supported and even mounts the uflash but doesn't work as it says there is no capacity.
The switch tells some details of the flash memory something like this:
vendor:
:
:
: 0 blocks
capacity: 2 Bytes or someting
: 0
