8400 ICS with 8440 VM embeded - Conection Problem

Post by lmartinez »

Hi there,
First at all I wish you all a happy new year!!!!

Back to business... I had a 8400 ICS with VM embeded on the system (8440) I had user that had all the features and users thar are only voice mail. I could leave a vm message but when I try to listen to the vm I had the following issues:

1.- Un series 8 and series 9 phones I would like to use the message butom, but when I press it, the phone tries to connect to the 8400 server by the sip trunk group, but it couldn't
2.- On the phone where I have de message, I pick up the handset and I hear "you got a message, please dial *3", and when I dial *3 nothing happened.
3.- From any phone on the PBX I dial *3 (prefix for access to the VM) and It seems that is going to connect but nothing happen
4.- From any phone on the PBX I dial 12906 (Voice Mail on the 8400 server) and 12907 (TUI VM on the 8400 server) and nothing happen.

Any Ideas,

Regards,

Seems to be an similarly problem with payload and DTMF?

Did you create the 'Email Reader' facility for each of the users?
In 8440 you need a second mailbox per user of the type 'Email Only' to be able to listen to your voicemail messages.

This in only neccesary when using the 8440 for reading emails, not nessecary for Voice Mails.

Seems like there is a problem with you sip settings, could you verify, or provide some traces? Also, check if your TTS engine and language are installed & if the Media server is working correctly (service msd status).
