hi Guys

Im an alcatel pcx rookie i work in healthcare we are about to switch all our pbxs from Nortel to Alcatel here in Montreal ...
our supplier gave me an old Omni pcx 4400 to play with a release 8 to get to learn the system .. i have mgr ...i wanna know how to trace a call to see how it works i've tried tuner mtrace trc it is not working lets say i wanna trace a call from extension 2145 how do i do that from the command line

Hi Frank, i think what Mokaquebekois wants to Know is there is any way to do a trace to an station and get the information if that station is busy, and if so to whom it's talking (in real time). I think this is a nortel feature becouse here in Bolivia we recently had change a Nortel with OXE R9.0 in an Hotel, and the PBX administrators ask us for that feature... I Think that Alcatel doesn't have that feature, but maybe I'm wrong.

You can see the list of stations that are in a call by using the command listincall

Hi Frank, and with taht command can I for example: if station number 12300 its talkin with station number 13000? or just I see that station 12300, 13000 and others are busy, but I don't know to whom there are talking.

hi guys sorry i was away on xmas vacation thank you for your help ... thank you frank for the PDF's great stuff ..Ihaven't had time to try the info in the PDF'S yet i will tomorrow ...LMartinez you are right on a Nortel PBX there is a command in the ld 80 to trace a call that is very usefull iin real time you can see the destination trunk access cos it is really heplfull in debugging ....

i will try the commands you showed me tomorrow and tell you about it

try the termstat and listerm command on mtcl, it will show you the call flow by using neqt.
