Hi..

Okay, this is for VoIP...
But I also have 2 T1 (ABC-F). Once the ABC-F is created, the system does not let me create a new hybrid link.... Also, how can you tell the system to go over the T1's first, and VoIP 2nd ? Because when you use ABC-F, there is no ARS...

Thank you

It will be controlled via the 'VPN' mechanism. Your VPN configuration (prefixes) you specify a route list, this will allow you to configure route choice

Hope this helps

Again, I don't see how you do that.
You cannot create 2 hybrid links between 2 nodes, it won't let you do it.
So if I do what you wrote, once the ABC-F link is down (if the T1 are down), then no more communication over IP..

In your table ARS Y (see my old message) :

Route 1 (VoIP) : Trunk IP 1
Digit to delete : 0
Route 2 (Backup) : Trunk IP 2
Digit to delete : 0

Yes, but I think you have (correct me if wrong);

1 x T1 ABC link (internode)
1 x VOIP (Trunk Group)

I think if you setup the ARS for the first route with -1 as the route it will look for the ABC link first, then the TG number for the second route (IP)

hi..

NNooooo, the customer wants the T1's to be taken first.
Have you had your solution running somewhere ?
Because I spoke with Alcatel, and they told me that there is no way that the IP is taken as a backup: If the T1s are down, IP will not work. So if you tried your solution and if it worked, I WANT IT ! :-)

I don't think this is a supported design (VoIP as a backup to the ABC-F).

If this works then the Sales team from Alcatel will have no problem selling the PCX. Imagine if the ABC-F goes down due to a bad DPT1 to Telco, calls automatically goes over the customer’s data network as backup.

Now I do know you can have various signaling backup, but IP is not an option.

Ok, I've understood and I've try to do it; I can build a new hybrid interlink with the same node but I don't know how say it that it's the backup of the first ; otherwise, you can use "prefix access node" but you don't pass by your private trunk :?
