I try configuring the user with MLA keys ( instead of Multiline ) and now when the user are in conversation can put on hold pressing the same key of the incoming call.
In this state the user can see the waiting call on a key and can hang up, remaining on hold.
Is useful for me.
Still remain this issue for analog station.

Callback after 120 seconds on hold
Re: Callback after 120 seconds on hold
How about we just shut this board down. I really tire of the number of times people get told to read the manuals. If everything is in the manuals and is so easy to find then we don't need this board. Right?vad wrote:MLA mm... In russian language we have expression - rightly asked question is a half of answer.
In system documentation/ Technical documentation/ User services - exist features description.
In configuration procedure for each feature (if this feature use some timers) - exist timers description.
BTW in Australia we have an expression, if you have nothing to add say nothing at all.
PS the OP did say he looked in the manuals, and to be frank I find the Alcatel manuals to be very lacking in informtaion and also very hard to find the answers, especially as a setting in one area effects behaviour elsewhere. And yes I am fully trained and certified and been working on this system for the best part of 10 years now.

Re: Callback after 120 seconds on hold
Must admit didn't realise the post I was replying to was 7 years old. Though that said that same person and others have the same answer over and over and over again. As I mentioned may as well shut down the board, if the stock answer is read the manual. What is the point of the board but if not to help others?
Though as I have said the manuals leave a lot to be desired. Even being experienced I still sometimes struggle to find things, but I dare not ask here because I know who will answer and what the response is. Arrogance of the highest order really.

Re: Callback after 120 seconds on hold
Yeah, I know, I'm one of those who pushes to read docs because as you can see on other posts, you have two type of people:
1. The I tried this and didn't work...what to do now?
2. The "Neee...why try? Just give me answer"
To #1 we do help and a lot. We guide them to correct documentation. They learn and later come back to help others. Those posts help a lot more to other people.
To the #2, we also indicate which documentation to read, but like a guy asking for OXO docs, they want all done, all easy, no work for them please, as this is a forum, it should provide all for free even from effort.
When on #1 we say read docs, is because you maybe overlooked something basic. Some guys go and read again and then they debate us, we can be wrong too. That forces us to go and do labs, tests, configurations, yes, we do that for forum users...we won't help that much if you don't try to do your job too.
As you can see we just try to handle the few free time we have helping others and pushing to stop non-sense or non-helping questions for other users. That is it. Are we on bad mood some days? Yes, too. Are we stressed some days? Too...
Not everyday will be a happy face
