Hi,
I'm trying to configure a Tandem with an Alcatel 4029 and a Dect phone. On the 4029 i configured everything without problems (and I can call them and rings the two extensions), but on the Dect one, when I put the Tandem extension, they tell me this error: Tandem : modification not allowed in secondary terminal.
Any idea in what should be the problem?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Tandem problem
You don't put nothing on the second set. If it is already part of a tandem you configure the main set only.

Re: Tandem problem
But if I do this, when I call to the second set, the first one doesn't rings. Only rings the two ones if I call to the first one.
I have other Tandem configurations on the company and all of them have the Tandem config on the two sets, and I'm trying to replicate the configs, but I don't achieve it. Is frustrating!

Hummm
How is the Ringing defined?
Idea is to call always to main set...can't recall what happens if you call to second set.
Can you post Main tandem config?

Re: Tandem problem
Dear all,
I finally talk with a service desk support and solved my problem. The problem was that our Omnivista 4760 only can do the tandem for one of the two extensions. It means that if you call to the 4029 terminal ring this one and the Dect one but if you call to the Dect directly, only rings the Dect. This is the normal operation of our Omnivista.
What we do to solve our problem was to exchange the extension numbers between the two phones and now works as expected.
Thanks for your advice and i hope this comment can help someone else on the future.
Best regards,
Albert.
