Hi all,
I am trying to get a Fritz!box 7490 SOHO router to work successfully as a SIP extension (or a SIP device) on the OxE (R11.0.1)
Whilst I can get it to register as both of the above I have issues where it appears that the router does not send the required information to the OxE
1. When a outbound call is placed from the router the call will only stay connected for 30 seconds, if I look at the trace for the call I can see the OxE requesting the codec type but does not appear to receive a reply and then releases the call, this is when the extension is set up as a SIP extension, as a SIP device the OxE releases the call @ about 5 seconds (during these periods thought the speech is fine)
2. When a call is placed to the router the call is fine the issue here is that if the phone on the router hangs up first the call doesn't clear on the OxE as there does not seem to be a bye message sent from the router.
Anybody tried to get this router (or its predecessor the 7390) to work on the OxE?
Cheers for any advice
K.

Connecting an AVM Fritz!box 7490 to an OxE
When I was a boy of fourteen, my father was so ignorant I could hardly stand to have the old man around.
But when I got to be twenty-one, I was astonished at how much the old man had learned in seven years.

Hello,
For "when the extension is set up as a SIP extension, as a SIP device the OxE releases the call @ about 5 seconds (during these periods thought the speech is fine)" i believe that your box don't send ACK after 200 OK.
But for all cases you have to attach also some traces.

He knows the why, just asking if someone has experience on those equipments, how to make them work with OXE
Ignorance is not the problem, the problem is the one who doesn't want to learn

Stancu_adi,
I can confirm that the unit is not sending responses to messages from the OxE but as Cav said I was just seeing if anyone had traveled down this path before, I have a ticket in with the manufacture to see what they say.
The Fritz router seems fine on external SIP services am using it as a small phone system connecting to our Acme Packet SIP service without any apparent issues.
It would be a shame if I can't get it to work as it is a powerful SOHO router which allows the attachment of upto 6 DECT (GAP/GAP+) handsets.

Looks like this is an issue with 11.0.1 as I have the unit connected to an 11.1 system and it is playing nice now (well better but I think the issues that I have now are to do with the dodgy way I have it routing to the system)
Will update when I am sure
