Hello team,
I have OXE (rel 9.1) Crystal h/w. we have ip trunking with cisco and Avaya at other sites.
1.Now when i make outgoing call from alcatel to cisco/avaya extension only number is displaying on the cisco/avaya phone.
2.When i get incoming call on alcatel from cisco, both number and name displayed.
3.When i get incoming call on alcatel from avaya, only number is displayed.
Now cisco team has confirmed that they are not receiving calling party name from alcatel. They have asked to check whether ASCII name display is enabled at your end or not.
snapshot of Trunk created in alcatel for trunking with avaya & cisco has been enclosed. Pls. check and revert back with the comments, what can be done at alcatel side to ensure full display of CLI at all three systems.
Hi! - I moved the server over the week end to handle the daily incoming connections (about 200K/day) but it looks like I aimed too low for the resources. I'm going to have to move this server (hopefully for the last time) this week. I'm sorry for the interruption.

Re: Calling on avaya/cisco extension, cli problem
For name/ number display we have two part:
1 - name sended / received or not
2 - for user allowed or not to see name/ number
for 1 - use "t3" command - you will see trace
for 2 - check some management points
System / other system/ external signalling parameters - Calling Name Presentation
Class of services/ Phone feature COS - Calling name display (CNIP/I-CNAM)
1 - name sended / received or not
2 - for user allowed or not to see name/ number

Thanks
In phone feature cos (CNIP/I-CNAM) already has been set to 1. Due to this i am getting full CLI (No and Name) from cisco while Incoming or outgoing.

Re: Calling on avaya/cisco extension, cli problem
Hello vad
thanks for your reply. I enabled calling name presention true in external signalling parameters. With this issue with cisco has been resloved.
Now calling at cisco extension , full display of name and number is happening at both alcatel and cisco phone. but while calling to avaya extension from alcatel extension, now avaya phone is showing full information (name and number). When avaya user calls on alcatel user, only number is displayed. screen shot of trace "t3" has been enclosed herewith.
thanks in advance

Re: Calling on avaya/cisco extension, cli problem
I guess that as Alcatel issue calling Cisco was fixed on ALU side, this time you will need to fix on Avaya side similar as you did on ALU.When avaya user calls on alcatel user...
These T3 traces are IP...so vad asking for T3 traces where for ISDN type where the protocol shows calling and caller information.
IP H323 on your case is more easy to troubleshoot but you will need to understand who is the one not sending information, ask Avaya guys to enable that information as well.
Ignorance is not the problem, the problem is the one who doesn't want to learn
