SWITCHING EQUIPMENT CONGESTION

Post by danunwin »

Hi all,

Anyone ever seen SWITCHING EQUIPMENT CONGESTION error on set up of voip call on VPN overflow between 2 switches.

We have a R9 OXE connecting to another network with 2 exsisting OXE's.

VPN o/f worked fine for a while now we have the above error while voip trunk is configured in ARS route.
We had another issue, alcatel asked for the exsiting switches to be upgraded to patch 23b, this could be nothing to do with it, our switch is patch 24.

Voip calls work one way from exsisting to ours, the two exsising OXE's work fine both directions IP.

The vpn call connects over signaling but it seems the B channel won't connect.

Any ideas anyone??

Thanks

OK,

Managed to arrange a time to reboot with customer and this seems to have cleared the issue.

I actually think it was more to do with MTU settings that we had to modify on original install,
These have now been set to auto.

On the reboot the MTU's have been reset to 1500.

When I faced this problem I checked my configuraiton then realized that I have configured the gateway parameter of GD incorrectly.
