the FTP server on the OXE
the FTP server on the OXE
hi
are there any commands to check the status of the FTP server on the oxe ?
i'm unable to connect with FTP to a particular site and getting 530 and i'm sure it's not credential issue as user and passwd are same true.
i'm sur that's a oxe issue .

You can try :
netstat -l | grep ftp
and if listen on 21port you should get something like this :
But maybe ssh is active on your system ??
netstat -l | grep ftp
and if listen on 21port you should get something like this :
Code: Select all
tcp 0 0 *:ftp *:* LISTENRe: the FTP server on the OXE

Re: the FTP server on the OXE
I do remember having a similar situation some time ago and the issue was that the ftp user db was corrupted. We had to reinstall the OXE software to solve it.

Re: the FTP server on the OXE
what do you mean by "ftp user db" ??
is it for example, matching user and password ?

Re: the FTP server on the OXE
The ftp users list. Even we could read the file somehow the ftp service couldn't. 503 means access error.

Re: the FTP server on the OXE
Ftp users list refers to accounts list ( mtcl, ..) , isn't it ?
Re: the FTP server on the OXE
Yeah cav your are right i compare different ftp db file of the corrupetd site with others wich works perfectly and i donot seen any diffrence but i think the problme is on the passwd file or some crypted one ( when i edit then with the vi i can't read them ) i think i should reinstall linux .
for the momemnt i done a reverse ftp from the orrupted one to good one , and i use put command instead of get , so i have a copy of mao-dat and ops file
