Empty CID when transferring from AA

Post by goodtimes »

Hi,

New to this forum and to OXO, so apologies if I miss some details.

We have an OmniPCX, software version R710.65.001. We've configured the AA Main Menu so that one of the options transfers to a speed dial, an external number. The speed dial goes out an ISDN trunk into an Asterisk device, and on the console of the Asterisk device we can see the Caller ID of the forwarded calls.

Our goal is for the Asterisk device to see the caller ID of the original caller (any external party). When choosing the option from the Auto Attendant, the caller ID is blank. When calling the speed dial from an attached handset, the caller ID of the handset's subscriber appears correctly.

I've checked:
[*]Feature Design Part 1 has "CLI for external diversion" checked, and Part 2 has "CLI is diverted party if external caller" checked. I've tested with every permutation of these two options.
[*]Feature Design Part 3, I tried changing the External diversion mode to "re-routing", just in case
[*]Virtual terminal for the AA Subscriber has feature "CLI is diverted party" checked

A lot of the relevant options pertain to whether external->external transfer is allowed, which it is, and works fine. It's just that the caller ID is missing.

Am I missing something obvious? thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Thanks for the reply Maulwurf,

That's what I was looking at in my first step above, which lead me to test every permutation of the two checkboxes.

It looks like the GUI fields have been renamed without the help file being fully updated. Based on the help page for part 2, it appears that in part 1, "Non-controlled caller identity" has been renamed in the GUI to "CLI for external diversion".

Therefore, assuming an 'x' means a check in the box, I should need "CLI for external diversion" in part 1 to be checked, and "CLI of the forwarded station if caller external" in part 2 to be unchecked. I've tried all combinations to no avail.

Is my interpretation of the help file correct?
