GPA2
Re: GPA2
Hi,
Reference to the Alcatel Expert doc. for GPA2 hardware description and limits
Configuration GPA2
This attribute represents the way to configure the DSPs of board GPA2
The GPA2 board is fitted with 2 physical DSPs (5 logical DSPs) that can support the following functions:
• Conference with n participants (CONF),
• Tone detection, Q23, Q23X and R2 (DET) - 15 channels maximum per DSP,
• VAD oriented detection: Tone detection, 2100Hz and speech - 15 channels per logical DSP,
• Voice guide (VG) function- 60 broadcast channels - 1 recording channel
Selection via a menu:
• VG + 4 VAD
• VG + 4 DET
• VG + 2 VAD + 2 DET
• VG +1 CONF + 3 DET
• VG + 1 CONF + 3 VAD
• VG + 1 CONF + 1 DET + 2 VAD
• VG + 1 CONF + 2 DET + 1 VAD
• VG + 2 CONF + 2 VAD (But then no sending of MFR2 or MFR1 tones)
• VG + 2 CONF + 2 DET (But then no sending of MFR2 or MFR1 tones)
• VG + 2 CONF + 1 DET + 1 VAD (But then no sending of MFR2 or MFR1 tones)
• 3 CONF + 1 DET
• 3 CONF + 1 VAD
• etc.
is that mean for
1-the DISA calls it can serves 30 channels for the 2 DSP?
2-VAD 75 channels ((15 channels per logical DSP x (5logical DSPs) ))
3-60 channel for voice guide same time. Each voice guide can have unlimited listener
IS that right ?
Please advise.
Regards.

Re: GPA2
Yes and no. Each VG can have unlimited listeners only if VG start flag is NOT set. e.g. For Music. For guides starting from the beginning each User need one channel of the 60 available. (Not 40 I think)

Re: GPA2
GPA 2 has 60 channels. Sometimes in VGSTAT I see more than 60 channel available (68, 75, 88...) and active channels. If I reset the boards they show ok 60 channels and when there are active channels the sum of active and available channels is 60. And some agents (CCD) complain that their recorded presentation message is not played. My guess is that the system is confused when reads something like 68 channels instead of 60 and it does not know where are these free channels. I have 6 GPA2 boards and 3 of them regularly have this anomaly. Even if I assign one message to 2 GPA the system seems that does not know if a bad GPA board is not ok , so that can avoid it.
Available voice guides channels = 68
Active channel :
channel 0 => rq_nb[000] = 178
channel 1 => rq_nb[001] = 201
channel 2 => rq_nb[002] = 183
channel 4 => rq_nb[004] = 177
